Kings Island Crèche caters for children aged from 5 months until they go to school. Upon enrolment children are placed in a room that meets their developmental and social needs. They will remain in that room for the year (as per the school calendar).
Located on the banks of the Shannon in a state of the art, purpose built facility which opened in September 2011, the Creche offers a range of childcare packages to suit all circumstances: Community Childcare Subvention, subsidised places for parents taking up education and training and commercial childcare tailored to suit working parents. Only a mile from the City Centre the crèche provides an ideal location for parents working in the City and can arrange for early/late drop off and pick up.
The crèche now serves more than 80 children in full and part-time care and to ensure continuity of care the crèche now also caters for children waiting to access pre-school services. All staff are trained to at least FETAC level 5 Childcare and follow a structured programme of quality childcare based on the National Siolta Quality Framework.
We offer full and part-time places
- A full-time place is available Monday to Friday 8am until 5.30pm
- A part-time morning place runs from 8.55am until 12.30pm
- An afternoon part time place is from 1.30pm until 5.05pm
