Danish retailer Søstrene Grene opens their sixth store in Ireland. This Autumn, the brand heads to Limerick where the new store opens on Bedford Row. The store is set to open September 1st.

Søstrene Grene specializes in home accessories, kitchenware, gift wrap, DIY articles, stationary and small furniture. With an ever-changing selection of aesthetic products displayed in pleasant subdued lighting and accompanied by the sounds of classical music, the stores give customers a therapeutic break from their busy everyday lives.

The brand revolves around the story of the characters Anna and Clara Grene; two aging sisters who diligently work to create slight, bright differences to everyday life. Having travelled all over the world, the sisters are confident that the dynamic city of Limerick is the perfect place to open their next store.

Heather and Niall Lawlor, the Irish joint venture partners, are excited to bring Søstrene Grene to Limerick and add to their existing five Irish Søstrene Grene stores

“Beautiful and historic surroundings combined with a confident, urban feel in the city centre makes Limerick a perfect location for Søstrene Grene. The city is experiencing a rebirth these years as a key shopping destination in the Mid West Region. We are excited to bring some Danish flavour to the buzz, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone who wants to enjoy the Søstrene Grene experience into the store on the September 1 opening day,” says Niall Lawlor.

At the headquarters in Denmark, CEO Mikkel Grene also looks forward to another wonderful store opening in Ireland.

“We are honoured to have been so warmly welcomed by our Irish customers in our other stores so far. The Irish customers seem to like our Scandinavian design profile and the atmosphere in the stores. I am positive Limerick will be a great new addition to our collection of stores,” Mikkel Grene says.
