The only pub in Limerick to host two Traditional Irish Music & Dance Sessions every day of the week!

The multi-award winning Locke Bar sits picturesquely in the heart of Limerick City’s Medieval Quarter, where the Abbey River meets the Shannon. Renowned for its quality and variety of gastro food and its atmospheric character, the Locke Bar now has an offering unique to the county of Limerick and indeed Munster, two lively traditional Irish music and dance sessions daily, seven nights a week!

The Big Limerick Seisiún is a must see, or must hear experience, on the cultural calendar of a visit to Limerick. Visitors to the Locke Bar are spoilt for choice with music sessions @5pm and 9pm daily!

The beautiful riverside setting of the Locke Bar also features a hugely popular and vibrant outdoor seating and entertainment area which is the perfect location for outdoor relaxation, fun and entertainment for a Spring or Summer day! Inside you will find old wood panelling & open fires, making it the perfect place to snuggle down when the Irish weather isn’t as kind.

The Locke Bar has a history and resonance to its premises that is a rare find anywhere in Ireland. It can be found on the original site of one of Limerick City’s oldest pubs, dating back to 1724. Nearby are some of the city’s most historical landmarks such as St. Mary’s Cathedral, King John’s Castle & the Hunt Museum.

As a gastro pub, serving food seven days a week from breakfast to dinner, it is particularly well-known for its ocean fresh seafood menu and choice of fresh daily specials, as well as many other dishes to suit all tastes.

Genuine Irish hospitality and care will meet you at the door and the highest standards of service will be received until you depart!
