Members of Network Ireland Limerick were treated to a surprise visit by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar at their September event which was taking place in the Greenhills Hotel last week.

The women in business networking group were holding a workshop in the hotel when the impromptu visit happened.

Welcoming An Taoiseach, Karen Ronan, president of Network Ireland’s Limerick branch briefed him on the mission and objectives of the organisation.

Karen Ronan, President of Network Ireland Limerick, said, “It was an honour to welcome An Taoiseach to our event. We were delighted he took the time out to hear how Network Ireland is supporting the professional and personal development of women in business. Our membership is made up of a diverse group of women, from budding entrepreneurs, SME owners, professionals and leaders in indigenous and multinational organisations to non profits, charities, arts and the public sector – all of whom were represented at our event.”

After the excitement, positive psychology and business strategist Lorna Lyons delivered a creative workshop using Lego Play entitled “Blending a positive psychology approach to business growth”. The founder of the Mumboss Network shared her insights and tips for setting goals and removing the many common obstacles that women face in business.
