This unique walking tour explores Limerick’s food heritage. The tour starts in the heart of the Georgian Quarter & continues to landmarks to experience food influences & tastes of today. 

The tour combines architectural, social & food trends from the Georgian period in Limerick.

Limerick enjoys some of the finest examples Georgian architecture in Ireland. These houses allowed for large kitchens & entertaining. 

You will explore foods the Georgians made popular and still inspire us today & also what foods were just a passing fad.

Tour guide: Fiona Kiely

Fiona has a huge interest in all things Georgian. Her interest in history has been fed by living for many years in NYC & travelling. Fiona has also been giving tours since 2010 with Limerick Civic Trust & been involved with many projects that include the tree identification in the People's Park as well as giving Halloween tours in The Bishop's Palace.

While living in Limerick she has cultivated a deep knowledge of its history & its landscape of people. Fiona is a designer by trade & her hobbies are history, the arts, computing, gardening & dancing. She loves giving tours, sharing history & the quirky things in life!
