Shannon RFC are a rugby club on the northside of Limerick that cater for underage sides from U/7 to U/19 along with Adult rugby for both male and female participants.

Shannon RFC are one of the premier rugby clubs in Ireland. Founded in 1884 they were a junior club until 1954 when senior status saw the club go from strength to strength. Shannon's status as the leading club in Ireland has been backed up by their nine All Ireland league division one titles since 1995, along with numerous provincial titles. Along with other leading Munster clubs, Shannon players formed the backbone of the Munster rugby success since professional rugby has exploded the popularity of the game.

Shannon have a very vibrant underage structure which caters for upwards of 500 players from U/7's to U/19's on their four pitch facility in Coonagh.

Along with male rugby, Shannon have several women's and girls sides that also play and train in Coonagh.

Shannon's main clubhouse is in Thomond Park where the club have been tenants since 1940, but only the senior side play in the world famous ground. Most of Shannon's games and training takes place in Coonagh, just 3km north of Thomond Park.
