Maggie Choo’s is definitely a reliable venue for impressing first-time visitors to Limerick. Step past the streetlights and the dark doors and into an abundance of textures: coloured tiles and intricately sculpted wood.
The bar is vast, and stocked with top class liquor. The bar is dotted with an impressive amount of detail that gives the place its soul. If you hear whispers of secret passageways behind the walls, secret cocktail bars or secret gardens — know that it's all true.
The latest addition to the 101 collective, Maggie Choo’s is both an eatery and a bar, a place like nothing we have seen before in Limerick.
The cocktails are the talking point of Maggie Choo’s, with classics from Manhattans to Whiskey Sours flowing, in house creations such as Barrel & Drum and Whisper Sister are enjoyed by the trendy crowd and the firm favourite Espresso Martini, graces the hand of the regulars. Plenty of beers and spirits are available to patrons who prefer a more traditional drink and of course Guinness on tap, and Irish Whiskeys to keep visitors warm.
A selection of food is served until 9pm - Enjoy Garlic Prawns, Nordic Flatbread, Antipasto selections or get your hands into the “Durty” Fries (Crispy fries with taco beef, garlic mayo, mixed peppers, melted cheese and scallions).
Maggie Choo’s is a welcomed new arrival in Limerick which is definitely worth a visit.
