‘Seedlings’ is a drop in activity based gardening group for kids under 10, of all abilities. Kids learn about horticulture, plant science, and nature, develop gardening skills, and have fun!!
‘Seedlings’ is a space where children under 10 can learn all about gardening, nature, the seasons, plant science nature and the seasons, develop gardening skills like sowing, drying seeds, recognising plants and more, and of course have fun.
The group is activity based, which means that there will be a take away creation at the end of each session. It is a group where the atmosphere will allow children of all ages below 10 yrs to work collectively, learning and helping each other.
Children of all abilities are welcome.
Georgie has working knowledge of the RHS level 3 syllabus (UK), and has an AWARD in Social and therapeutic horticulture from THRIVE, (UK). She has been working with various groups in Limerick for Social horticulture for the last 2 years. She also holds a BA (Hons) in History of Art, and is currently studying for her Level 5 NVQ in Community Care, as well as training with the Irish Red Cross.
