Limerick City and County Council has a vacancy for the position of permanent Craftworker (Mason) and will be creating a panel from which any permanent or temporary vacancies arising during the lifetime of the panel may be filled.
The successful candidate is expected to work with minimal supervision as part of a larger team throughout Limerick City and County. The Candidate is expected to be flexible in terms of location, nature of role and working within the City and County as required by line management. The successful candidate will benefit from ongoing training and development which will form a core part of the post. He/She will have the opportunity to perform a range of duties as outlined in the briefing document.
Applicants will be required to perform such duties and carry out such instructions as may be given from time to time by the Senior Engineer or other nominated persons. Applicants must be capable of carrying out such duties as may be assigned or altered from time to time.
The post holder shall not engage in any gainful occupation, other than as an employee of a local authority, to such an extent as to impair the performance of his or her duties as an employee of a local authority or in any occupation which might conflict with the interests of the local authority or which might be inconsistent with the discharge of his duties as a local authority employee.
