N24 Beary’s Cross Road Improvement Scheme Compulsory Purchase Order 2020.
A new roundabout controlled junction is planned for Beary’s Cross on the N24. These works will entail alterations to the present junction layout, the construction of a new section of regional road 513 approach to the junction and the alteration of the existing N24 approaches to the junction.
Limerick City and County Council made the Compulsory Purchase Order to acquire land and extinguish rights of way necessary to develop the N24 Beary’s Cross Road Improvement Scheme.
The Compulsory Purchase Order was submitted to An Bord Pleanála(the Board) for confirmation.
The closing date for objections to the Compulsory Purchase Order to the Board was Friday 28th August 2020.
The Oral Hearing for the N24 Beary’s Cross Road Improvement Scheme CPO 2020 was held on the 8th April 2021 by An Bord Pleanala (The Board) virtually by MS Teams.
On completion of the oral hearing, the inspector will prepare a report and recommendation on the case for The Board. The decision to confirm or annul the Compulsory Purchase Order will be made by the Board.
The Part VIII planning for the road scheme was already approved by Limerick City and County Council at its meeting held on 27th November 2017.
