The Planning Authority will investigate all written complaints of unauthorised development.
The Planning Enforcement Process
- If an investigation finds there is an issue regarding unauthorised development a warning letter will be sent within six weeks of the complaint
- This will be followed by an enforcement notice if necessary
- If the warning letter and the enforcement notice are not complied with the issue may be referred for legal action
- The complainant will be notified of the outcome of the investigation
