The Patrickswell Local Area Plan is a legal document and is a public statement of planning policies. It is valid for six years from the date of adoption by the Council.
Limerick City and County Council is commencing the review of the Patrickswell Local Area Plan 2015-2021 (As Extended) and the preparation of a new Local Area Plan for Patrickswell.
To assist in preparing the Plan, an Issues Paper outlining the key issues to be addressed in the new Local Area Plan has been prepared, and may be obtained from the Council’s website here, the Forward Planning Section, Economic Development and Enterprise Directorate, Merchant’s Quay Limerick City and County Hall, Dooradoyle and in the Limerick City Library during normal opening hours throughout the public consultation period, which will run from 4th February 2023 – 6th March 2023 (inclusive).
Limerick City and County Council welcome your submissions in relation to the preparation of the Draft Patrickswell Local Area Plan during the initial four-week public display period of the Issues Paper.
Children and groups or associations representing the interests of children, are also invited to make submissions or observations.
Any pre-draft submissions on the key issues affecting Patrickswell that you wish to have taken into account in the preparation of the new Local Area Plan for the area, should be made in writing to the Forward Planning Section, Economic Development and Enterprise Directorate, Merchant Quay, Limerick or can be emailed to forwardplanning@limerick.ie or uploaded to https://mypoint.limerick.ie up until 5pm on Monday 6th March 2023.
A public meeting will be held in Patrickswell GAA Hall on the 22nd of February 2023 between 3pm and 7pm.
All submissions received during this period will be considered by the Council in the drafting of the Draft Patrickswell Local Area Plan. Submissions will form part of reports associated with the making of the Local Area Plan, which will be available online.
