The Castletroy Local Area Plan is a legal document and is a public statement of planning policies. It is valid for six years from the date of adoption by the Council.
Notice of Intention to revoke the Castletroy Local Area Plan 2019 - 2024 (as extended). Pursuant to Section 20(3) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended), Limerick City and County Council, hereby gives notice that it intends to revoke the existing Local Area Plans for Castletroy. The Limerick Development Plan 2022 - 2028 is currently in Draft format and the Draft Plan includes written statements and maps for all of the settlements that were previously included in the above Local Area Plans.
The proposed Limerick Development Plan 2022 - 2028, will incorporate the spatial extent of the above identified Local Area Plans and is expected to come into effect in July 2022. The Local Area Plans will only be revoked once the Limerick Development Plan is in place, thereby ensuring that the areas will be at all times subject to the proper planning and sustainable development in accordance with all planning legalisation.
