Derelict and Vacant Sites

  • Derelict Sites

    Limerick City and County Council is responsible for dealing with derelict sites.

  • Vacant Sites

    On January 1st 2017, Limerick City and County Council established a vacant sites register in accordance with the requirements of the Urban Regeneration and Housing Act 2015.

  • Paint Scheme 2022

    The Paint Scheme 2022 is a targeted support offered by Limerick City and County Council directed at the owners of vacant and rundown properties in the towns and villages of the county.

  • Vacant Homes

    Limerick City and County Council is committed to working with property owners to reactivate long term vacant homes and unused properties for sustainable productive use as social or private housing.

  • Croí Cónaithe (Towns) Fund Scheme

    A grant of up to a maximum of €30,000 will be available for the refurbishment of vacant properties for occupation as a principal private residence, including the conversion of a property which has not been used as residential heretofore.

  • Residential Zoned Land Tax (RZLT)

    The Government’s Housing for All, a New Housing Plan for Ireland, sets out an ambitious series of actions to support homeownership, increase affordability, eradicate homelessness, increase social housing delivery and tackle vacancy.
