When Do I Need Planning Permission?
Planning permission is required for any development of land or property unless the development is specifically exempted from this need.
Planning Application Forms
To obtain planning permission you must make an application to Limerick City and County Council. The application must be made in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Planning & Development Regulations, 2001 to 2018.

Change of Use - Commercial to Residential
The Planning and Development (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2018 provides an exemption for a period of time for the change of use and related works of vacant commercial premises for residential purposes.
