Limerick Arts Office has worked with the Theatre Strand of L.A.C.E. to develop the Limerick Theatre Bursaries 2016.
Closing date:Friday 28th October 2016.
Continuing the legacy of Limerick National City of Culture 2014, Limerick Arts Office has worked with the Theatre Strand of L.A.C.E. to develop a new funding scheme – Limerick Theatre Bursaries.
Limerick Theatre Bursaries are informed by Limerick Professional Theatre Sector Needs Survey (2016) and the Limerick Cultural Strategy: A Framework 2016 – 2030. We recognise the need to support the research, making and development of creative work in the Limerick theatre sector, as well as its presentation. Introducing the bursaries, we aim at supporting theatre practitioners based in Limerick City and County in their professional development, building capacity in the sector and delivering the highest standard in creativity and excellence in all aspects of cultural activity.
Limerick Arts Office is pleased to invite both individuals and organisations working in the Limerick theatre sector to apply for this funding opportunity.
Funding is being provided by Limerick Arts Office and The Arts Council. Limerick-based theatre practitioners can submit applications for the following bursaries:
Limerick Theatre Research and Development Bursaries of €2,500 each (3 Awards)
Limerick Theatre Production and Presentation Bursary of €2,500 (1 Award)
Proposals at all stages of development are welcome. The works should not have been previously performed in the proposed form.
Completed application forms along with CV and supporting material should be sent to Limerick Arts Office, Limerick City and County Council, Merchant's Quay, Limerick or email@example.com by 5pm on Friday, 28th October 2016.
