GoGreenRoutes - Challenge Workshop

Limerick City and County Council facilitated a second workshop on 7th February, 2022 (online). The purpose of the workshop was to confirm the seedbed intervention for the greenway June-August 2022. A seedbed intervention is the piloting or trialling of a nature based solution which will be a permanent fixture on the greenway in 2023.

The workshop identified the skills and knowledge of local stakeholders. The outcome was a list of seedbed intervention ideas and clarifying who is willing to work/volunteer to mobilise people locally.

A total of 70 people registered for the workshop with 37 people attending. The workshop had two breakout sessions. The first session focused on the goals of the group, and developing ideas for greening the greenway. The second session clarified the level of community involvement, and theming the greening ideas. The miroboard images below shows the variety of ideas from participants.
