Limerick City and County Council has a number of grants and supports available for business as they navigate their way through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Fáilte Ireland will provide funding to Local Authorities who will administer this scheme. The focus of this scheme is to provide a level of financial support to tourism and hospitality businesses to purchase or upgrade equipment to provide additional outdoor seating and, therefore, increase their outdoor dining capacity for the summer of 2021.
**Update: (27/05/2021) Applications for buildouts are now suspended. If further funding becomes available we will re-open the application process. Tables and Chairs licence applications are not affected by this notice.
The placement of furniture on the street, especially pedestrianised streets, fronting restaurants and public houses can enhance the ambience and atmosphere of the streetscape and can enable businesses to improve services to their customers, and generate additional revenues.
Please note: The fee for a table and chairs licence is currently waived. In 2022 and subsequent years this fee may be reintroduced.
