Temporary Closure of Roads: Proposed Development/ Extension of the Engine Building off Dominic Street and Griffith Row

Roads Act 1993. Road Regulations 1994 – Article 12. Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of the Roads Act 1993 of the intention of Limerick City and County Council to close the section of roads detailed hereunder at the specified locations and times to facilitate the Proposed Development/ Extension of the Engine Building off Dominic Street and Griffith Row.

Roads to be closed to Traffic and Parking

Griffith Row Street (Road No. L-10349-0)

From its junction with Dominic Street (L-10357-0) for a distance of 35m in a north west direction

Thursday 24th June 2021 12:00am (Midnight) to 28th February 2022 6:00pm

Traffic to Divert via Catherine Street, Cecil Street & Dominic Street

Current Parking Prohibitions will remain in place on the remainder of Griffith Row outside of proposed operating hours of Road Closure.

  • Pedestrian access to footpaths will be maintained at all times.
  • Local diversions will operate.
  • Emergency Service Vehicle access will be available at all times.

Any person may lodge an objection to the proposal to close these roads by email to roads@limerick.ie or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Operations and Maintenance Services, Limerick City and County Council, Dooradoyle, Limerick not later than 4.00pm on Tuesday 8th June 2021.
