Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2021

The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, recently announced details of the 2021 Town and Village Renewal Scheme with €15 million in funding to help revitalise rural towns and villages post Covid-19.

Limerick City and County Council is seeking expressions of interest from town/village community groups and/or business interests who may have suitable projects for consideration under this competitive scheme.  All expressions of interest will be assessed with regard to the priorities detailed in the Scheme Outline and the proposed projects alignment with the commitments in “Our Rural Future – Ireland’s Rural Development Policy 2021-2025.

A maximum of 8 proposals can be selected for progression to full application stage. The minimum grant funding available is €20,000 and the maximum grant funding available is €500,000. Please review the Town and Village Renewal 2021 Scheme Outline for full details.

Completed Expressions of Interest forms with supporting documentation must be emailed to townandvillagerenewal@limerick.ie by 4pm on Friday June 18th 2021.
