Notice of the Adoption and Making of the City and County of Limerick (Segregation, Storage and Presentation of Household and Commercial Waste) Bye-Laws, 2019

Notice is hereby given that Limerick City and County Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 35 of the Waste Management Act, 1996 (No. 10 of 1996) and in accordance with Part 19 of the Local Government Act, 2001 (No. 37 of 2001) has adopted and made the City and County of Limerick (Segregation, Storage and Presentation of Household and Commercial Waste) Bye-Laws, 2019 in relation to the segregation, storage and presentation of waste within the functional area of Limerick City and County Council.

The City and County of Limerick (Segregation, Storage and Presentation of Household and Commercial Waste) Bye-Laws, 2019 provide that a person found guilty of a contravention of the Bye-Laws shall be liable on conviction to a financial penalty of up to €2,500. These Bye-Laws will come into force on the 1st March 2019.

The City and County of Limerick (Segregation, Storage and Presentation of Household and Commercial Waste) Bye-Laws, 2019 may be inspected during ordinary office hours at the Limerick City and County Council Offices, in Merchants Quay, Limerick V94 EH90 and the Dooradoyle Offices, Dooradoyle Road, Limerick V94 WV78. Copies of the Bye-Laws are also available free of charge at the Offices specified above and on the Council’s website www.limerick.ie
