Preferred Transport Solution for N/M20 Cork to Limerick announced

Details of the preferred transport solution for the N/M 20 Cork to Limerick project, identified as a priority investment in the Government’s National Development Plan 2021-2030, have been published today (30 March 2022).

A multi-modal transport project which includes active travel infrastructure for walking and cycling, improvements to public transport, new and improved safe road infrastructure and environmental integration for communities along the N20 transport corridor between Cork and Limerick, is now proposed.

Second Pride Rainbow crossing for Limerick

A second Pride Rainbow crossing has been unveiled in Limerick in as many months by the Council’s Active Travel team. The new crossing on the Dooradoyle Road, next to the Ballykeefe Roundabout, stretches across both the outbound and inbound lanes.

Applications open under the 2022 CLÁR programme from Limerick groups

Limerick City and County Council is now accepting applications for funding under the 2022 CLÁR (Ceantair Laga Árd-Riachtanais) programme for Measure 1: Developing Community Facilities and Amenities from Schools/ Community Groups and Local Development Companies within the designated CLÁR areas.

Have your say on whether Raheen/ Dooradoyle/ Mungret area needs a community centre

A survey has been opened on whether a new community centre is needed for the Raheen/ Dooradoyle/ Mungret area of Limerick.

Limerick City and County Council has commissioned a consultant to consider the need for a Multi - Purpose Community Centre for this area after the need for a feasibility study was identified by the Municipal Area Councillors.

Construction begins on 57 new homes in Moyross

Construction is due to begin shortly on 57 new homes in Moyross as part of Limerick Regeneration. The development spans two sites in Dalgaish Park and Cosgrave Park and is in walking distance to the Watch House Cross Neighbourhood Centre, public transport and the local school and church. The development will be a blend of one to four bedroom homes, which will see a broad mix of people living in them.
