The Mayor of the City and County of Limerick Cllr Michael Collins is urging business owners to avail of a new support scheme open to firms affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Limerick City and County Council is now taking applications for the €60m Small Business Assistance Scheme for Covid (SBASC) announced by the government.

Limerick City and County Council has confirmed that work on the €9.1m revitalisation of O’Connell Street will proceed following a review of critical transport infrastructure projects in Limerick. In accordance with the relevant legislation on Covid-19 temporary restrictions, certain essential construction work is permitted.
