Public Consultation begins on N/M20 Cork to Limerick Scheme

Public consultation on the second phase of N/M20 Cork to Limerick Improvement project has commenced today (Thursday 19 November), following an online briefing to elected representatives from across the region. The project will be developed broadly within the existing N20 corridor via Croom, Charleville, Buttevant, Mallow and Blarney.

Four Limerick groups in running for Pride of Place Awards

Four Limerick communities will be hoping the pride they show in their place and work will be recognised as the All-Ireland Pride of Place Awards take place on Saturday 21 November. Ireland’s largest community awards go ahead this year online, honouring communities across the island for their work during the Covid-19 crisis.

Getting Limerick ready for Christmas!

The Christmas in Limerick season has officially begun this weekend with the Christmas lights in Limerick city centre being turned on. The traditional switching on ceremony was unable to take place, but through the sprinkling of some festive magic, courageous Limerick teenager Amy Mulcahy flicked a switch in her home turning on her Christmas tree lights, which in turn, magically led to all the Limerick city centre lights shining brightly.

Limerick authors included in new national campaign to celebrate Irish writers and rewards of reading during Covid-19

Limerick City and County Libraries are taking part in a new national campaign to celebrate Irish writers while encouraging everyone to discover ‘Rewarding Reads’ during Covid-19. The libraries around Limerick have teamed up with libraries nationwide to join with Creative Ireland to remind everyone that they can start a new story and discover lots of rewarding reads through their library,even while Covid-19 restrictions are in place.
