Call out for Limerick artists to apply for Tyrone Guthrie Bursary 2020

Limerick City and County Council has announced an open call for the Tyrone Guthrie Bursary 2020 Awards Scheme for 2020. The Limerick Culture & Arts Office has an open call for three bursaries for the Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig, Co Monaghan, which is a residential workplace and residency programme in Ireland for artists of all disciplines.

New screenwriting programme launched for budding Mid-West film and TV writers

A new screenwriting programme for budding film and TV writers in the Mid-West has been launched by Innovate Limerick through Film in Limerick and the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board. Writers Factory is a 22-week programme designed by legendary UK script-guru Phil Parker and for the first time the course is available in Ireland through a collaboration with Film in Limerick.

Culture Night Limerick goes digital for 2020

Culture Night 2020 will take place this year on Friday 18 September, and artists and cultural organisations across the city and county have been planning their events and activities for the Limerick region! Limerick Culture & Arts Office is delighted to be able to present a programme of events, taking place both live and digitally for young and old to enjoy.

New community bus provided by Limerick City and County Council and An Garda Síochána arrives

Limerick City and County Council in partnership with An Garda Síochána have taken delivery of a new 15 seater community bus that will serve all sections of the community across the Limerick garda division. The new mini bus has been jointly funded by Limerick City and County Council and An Garda Síochána and will allow Gardaí to engage directly with local community groups.
