Storm Lorenzo – Limerick’s emergency services closely monitoring storm developments

Joint statement on behalf of Limerick City and County Council, HSE Mid West, An Garda Síochána: The Severe Weather Action Team and the Local Co-ordination Group met earlier today to discuss preparations for the arrival of Strom Lorenzo. Met Éireann has issued an ORANGE Wind Warning for Limerick along with Cork, Clare, Kerry, Galway and Mayo.

The Mayor of the City and County of Limerick Cllr Michael Sheahan is commending all those involved in Tidy Towns groups across Limerick for their amazing efforts over the past 12 months. Mayor Sheahan was speaking following the announcement of the Tidy Towns winners for 2019, which saw Glaslough, Co. Monaghan (346 marks) named as overall National SuperValu TidyTowns Winners.
