Untapping Limerick’s potential as a tourism destination can lead to creation of 1,500 new jobs

A new strategy to develop tourism across Limerick city and county envisages that the total number of visitors to Limerick will reach 1.1 million per annum, generating more than €360 million in revenue and creating 1,500 new jobs by 2023. Limerick Tourism Development Strategy 2019 - 2023 has identified Limerick’s unique position on the west coast of Ireland and as a gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way as central to developing the sector.

Mayor welcomes recent jobs announcement in Limerick as a huge boost for the region

Mayor of the City and County of Limerick, Cllr. James Collins has said that the announcement of 645 jobs in Limerick reflects a new era of prosperity in the Mid-West. His comments come as financial services company FundRock announced the opening of its new office in Limerick with the creation of 45 positions in the next year and a half.

New 33 space car park opened in Adare

Limerick City and County Council is pleased to announce the opening of a new car park in Adare, Co. Limerick. The new 33 space car park, which includes two dedicated disabled spaces, is located on the N21 directly across the road from Scoil Naomh Iosaf, on the Newcastle West side of the village.
