As part of our ongoing commitment to citizen engagement, Limerick City and County Council is seeking input from members of the public on the creation of our new Corporate Plan. Under legislation Limerick City and County Council is obliged to prepare a Corporate Plan.

We are now calling on members of the public to give their opinions/suggestions on the plan.

Limerick City and County Council’s Corporate Plan is a strategic framework over a five year period and is a central component of our business architecture, linking policy, organisational activity, governance and performance management, and actions.

Through the vision and leadership of the elected members, management and staff, Limerick City and County Council has put in place the building blocks for an unprecedented economic upturn that has transformed Limerick’s economic, social and cultural profile over the past five years or so.

The focus is now turning to the next five-year period and Limerick City and County Council has prepared this new draft plan outlining its proposed:

  • Mission Statement
  • Vision
  • Core Values
  • Strategic Goals
  • Objectives

The new Corporate Plan seeks to build on the incredible economic renaissance that Limerick has undergone over the past number of years and sets out the core objectives and supporting strategies and outlines our vision and ambition for the next five years.

We welcome your comments and observations.

This draft plan is being prepared following an extensive consultation process and review by the Council’s Corporate Policy Group and will be subject to approval by the elected members.

Limerick City and County Council is using its new consultation portal ‘My Point’ for submissions, which will increase the level of public consultation and the quality of submissions thus allowing Limerick City and County Council to get more detailed feedback from the public and other groups.
