O'Connell Street Revitalisation work update
As a result of talking and listening to the traders Limerick City and County Council have arranged for all works to cease on O’Connell street from November 25, bar localised remedial surface work, landscaping & street cleaning/sealing.
This is being carried out in an effort to minimise disruption to traffic flows and trade during the busy Christmas period.
Two lanes of traffic along the full length of the O’Connell street site shall be open to traffic on a temporary basis.
The remaining works, which largely consists of works to the junctions and the installation of street furniture, will recommence on Tuesday January 3 2023.
