‘Meet the Funders’ free online seminar for filmmakers in the Mid-West

  • Film In Limerick

Innovate Limerick through Film in Limerick is to host an online workshop for local filmmakers on accessing film funding. Meet the Funders will take place on Wednesday 6 May at 2pm and is the latest in the Film in Limerick series of Wednesday Workshops open to anyone in the Mid-West with an interest in filmmaking.

The session will be moderated by local producer Gemma O’Shaughnessy and will include representatives from all the main Irish funding bodies and broadcasters. The webinar will cover funding opportunities available to new and developing filmmakers as well as information on new initiatives set up to support the development of new work during times of social distancing.

Regional Film Manager, Paul C. Ryan said: “The session will allow local filmmakers to learn more about available funding and to ask questions of the funders. It’s a great chance for local film talent to gain up to date info directly from funding representatives as well as tips on applying for funding and how to develop your career from short films to features or TV projects”.

The workshop is the fourth of 10 free online Wednesday Workshop events that Film in Limerick is running for aspiring and practicing filmmakers in the Mid-West. The initiative is supported by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board.
