Mayor of Limerick signs Book of Condolence following Barcelona and Cambrils attacks

Book will remain open for seven days

The Mayor of the City and County of Limerick Cllr Stephen Keary has opened a Book of Condolence in Council Headquarters, Merchant’s Quay Limerick following the terror attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils.

The Mayor is inviting people to call in and sign the book of condolence in memory of those who lost their lives in the attacks.

Mayor Stephen Keary said: “On behalf of the people of Limerick city and county, I wish to express our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the terrible attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils.”

“Our thoughts are also with those injured and hope they will recover from their injuries.”

“We will remain steadfast against those who and stand with the people of Barcelona and Spain.”

In addition to the Book of Condolence in Merchant’s Quay, there is another book open in Dooradoyle and an online book here.

All books will remain open until 9.30am on Monday 28th August 2017
