Since July 2016 Limerick City and County Arts Office has been working to develop a Festivals and Events Strategy for Limerick City and County.
The momentum achieved through investment in culture in the last number of years has helped Limerick to understand the value of culture as an important part of our lives and our community. In June 2016 Limerick Arts Office published a Cultural Strategy for Limerick. https://www.limerick.ie/council/limerick-cultural-strategy
This document produced in collaboration with the cultural community demonstrates our commitment to enable and grow the ambition and organisational capacity for Limerick's cultural life. The development of a Festivals and Events Strategy is one of the key actions outlined.
We are now asking you, the festival/event creators, to complete the attached form to ensure that our research and data collected for festivals/events is accurate and directly relates to the current environment in Limerick. Only through discovering and understanding the variety of activity and resources currently invested in Limerick, can the Local Authority, regional stakeholders and national agencies put in place a number of actions which best respond to the needs of the sector and the role it plays in the cultural, social and economic life of the city and county.
You can complete this survey in 3 ways:
