Belfast-born Michael McHale has given debut recitals in the NCH, London’s Wigmore Hall and in Washington DC as well as soloing with a number of major orchestras.

The Castleconnell 2015 Autumn Concerts Series programme is coordinated by the Arts Office of Limerick City & County Council and Castleconnell Concert Committee member Pat Burke. The upcoming concert is supported by an Arts Council Touring Award, Limerick Arts Office, Limerick City and County Council and Limerick 2020. Meanwhile, the RTÉ ConTempo Quartet, in association with the Limerick Arts Office and The Granary Library, will perform the third and final concert of the 2015 Autumn Lunchtime Concert Series at the Granary on Friday, 27th November, at 1pm.

Entitled "20/20 EXPERIENCE", the free concert will feature the music of Mozart (Quartet no 21 in D major, KV 575, "Prussian" and Schumann (Quartet no 3 in A major, Op 41).

Mike Maguire, Executive Librarian at the Granary Library said: "Do not miss the RTÉ ConTempo Quartet later this month. The concert in October, the timing, the interplay of the musicians, the sheer energy of the playing - lifting themselves out of their seats at times - brought a stunned audience to its feet."

The RTÉ ConTempo Quartet will begin their spring programme to Limerick City Gallery of Art (LCGA) in January in partnership with Limerick Arts Office, Limerick City and County Council.

Úna McCarthy, Director/Curator, Limerick City Gallery of Art stated: "The LCGA is delighted to welcome the Con Tempo Quartet to continue their concerts in the New Year. The virtuoso playing of the Quartet and the wonderful programme should ensure that Thursday evenings at the Gallery will be the perfect antidote to the post Christmas blues."
