DPEB Building 2: Chamber of Commerce

  • Limerick Chamber
  • Limerick Chamber

The Limerick Chamber of Commerce, is one of the five oldest Chambers of Commerce in Ireland and Britain, will participate in +CityxChange.

It was established in 1805, but its roots go back to the Society of Merchants of the Staple, whose origins can be traced to the Guild of Merchants in the early 17th Century.

This townhouse will require carefully planned supports to ensure that it can become a positive energy building without losing any of its historical allure.

Dee Ryan, CEO Limerick Chamber

Dee Ryan, CEO Limerick Chamber: "Energy efficiency and sustainable sources of energy are real concerns for Limerick business. In the Chamber we want to improve our historic building’s energy consumption and move to install charging stations in our car park, to help make switching to Electric Vehicles a feasible option for our team. We’re excited to be part of this project and eager to discover what’s possible when we pool our resources."
