Saturday December 4th is the deadline for submitting work for inclusion in the My Limerick exhibition – a collaborative event between the Belltable, the Hunt Museum and Limerick Civic Trust. The exhibition is open to all young people and will run during the month of January in Limerick.
All types of art are welcome from young people aged between 15 and 23 including painting, photography, drawing, scultpure and mixed media. Interested artists should drop off their work to the Georgian House and Garden, Pery Square, Limerick (Opposite the People’s Park), between 11am and 2pm on Saturday, December 4th. Young Limerick Artists, Hugo Byrne and Caimin Walsh will be on hand to accept the work and to advise on framing or mounting.
My Limerick is a fantastic opportunity for young people in Limerick to exhibit their work. It is the first time that the main galleries in the city have come together to present a youth arts exhibition. Work may be exhibited for sale or on a ‘not for sale’ basis. The young people themselves can decide but with a minimal commission of just 10% being retained by the galleries, the idea of selling work in these recessionary times is bound to be attractive.
