Travel bloggers from around the world experienced Limerick this month as part of the prestigious and influential social media conference, TBEX Europe 2017.
Organised by Fáilte Ireland and sponsored by Limerick.ie, the international conference in Killarney attracted more than 600 delegates from around the world who have a combined social media reach to an audience of over 300 million world-wide.
The event was the largest gathering of world travel bloggers, online travel writers, new media content creators, and social media- savvy travel industry professionals ever to visit Ireland.
Limerick.ie sponsored the coffee and confectionary breaks during the three day event and attended speed networking sessions with a huge number of bloggers to promote the city and county as a visitor attraction.
Pre and post tours were organised for the bloggers to help showcase Limerick to hundreds of millions of people worldwide. They visited King John’s Castle, Foynes Flying Boat Museum, enjoyed a guided walking tour of the city and a trip to Escape Limerick.
As part of its marketing strategy for 2018 to influence potential visitors, Limerick City and County Council’s Marketing and Communications unit is engaging international bloggers and social media influencers to create content to tell authentic stories about Limerick.
Limerick.ie also engaged with Ireland’s top influencers at the recent BEO health and wellness event showcasing the delights of Limerick to thousands of prospective visitors online.
