Five women based in Limerick companies will compete in this year's Network Ireland Business Woman of the Year Awards which take place in Cork on 27 September.
Hannah Wrixon (Get the Shifts), Olivia Buckley (Olivia Buckley International), Patricia Roberts (No. 1 Pery Square), Emma Langford (Singer/Songwriter) and Petrina Hayes (The Savoy Collection) will be among the women competing for national recognition. Each of them won their respective category at the regional finals in May.
Last week, all finalists participated in interviews hosted at AIB in Molesworth Street, Dublin. The overall winners will be announced on September 27 at a Gala Ball in Celtic Ross Hotel, Cork.
Two Network Ireland Limerick branch members shone through at last year's national awards with Caroline Dunlea, Core Optimisation winning the Best Use of Digital Award and Rosanne McDonnell, Art Business Summit, highly commended in the Arts category.
Catriona O’Donoghue, president of Network Ireland Limerick, said, “We wish all our finalists the very best of luck at the nationals. The awards provide a great opportunity to recognise their achievements, ambition and professionalism. They are already winners in our eyes for stepping up and putting themselves out there. Fingers crossed for another Limerick title.”
