Explore 6,000 years of ancient history at magical Lough Gur. Local storyteller, Seanachaí John Carew, will take you and three friends on a private tour of Lough Gur’s ancient monuments and sites, one of Ireland’s most important archaeological treasures, where you can see visible evidence of every age since Neolithic times!

After your jaunt around Ireland's oldest and largest stone circle, and Limerick's only lake, you will be treated to a picnic basket filled with the finest local delicacies from The Yarn Café in Bruff. Embrace the glorious views along the shores of Lough Gur, wrapped by the vista of the two majestic hills that rise dramatically on either side as you feast in this leafy location.

For the afternoon, get crafty at a private workshop with Lough Gur Pottery, where you will create a set of two mugs with the help of professional potter Clair. Clair’s handcrafted pottery is inspired by the ancient treasures uncovered at Lough Gur. She will share her hand carving and embellishing techniques with you as you gently transform a slab of potter’s clay into a unique handcrafted creation!

That warm mug of rich coffee in the morning is sure to taste all the sweeter from your personalised pottery!
