50 Days of Summer - Competition Rules

By entering the competition, entrants agree to the following terms and conditions.

  1. The 50 Days of Summer competition will run from Thursday 16 July 2020 to Wednesday 19 August 2020.

  2. The competition will consist of 50 overall prizes, split into five rounds of ten. Each round will be released at 14:00 on Thursday and will close at 23:59 on Wednesday every week for five weeks, starting from Thursday 16 July 2020. The competition will finish on 19 August 2020.

  3. Competition entries must be submitted using the online form at www.limerick.ie/50-days-summer/enter-competition.

  4. All competition entries must be received by Limerick City and County Council in the required format before the advertised closing date each week.

  5. Limerick City and County Council does not accept any responsibility for any technical issues experienced by competition entrants which may result in entries being lost or not delivered by the specified closing date(s).

  6. Competition entrants must be over 18 years old. Limerick City and County Council reserves the right to request written proof of age of any competition winner.

  7. Competition entrants must familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions set down by each of the individual prize providers.

  8. One entry per person is permitted in each round. Prize winners can only win one prize within the overall competition. Unsuccessful entrants will be able to enter remaining rounds.

  9. Prize winners will be selected at random using an online generator.

  10. Prize winners will be notified by email using the email provided on their entry form. By providing their email address, competition entrants agree to being contacted by Limerick City and County Council in relation to this competition.

  11. Prize winners will be notified no later than 17:00 the day after the closing date for that particular round. Prize winners must acknowledge receipt of this email.

  12. Unless otherwise stated, winners must claim their prize directly from the relevant provider(s).

  13. Prizes not claimed within specified time limit (for the time period of the competition) will be deemed to have been forfeited and Limerick City and County Council may dispose of such prizes without any liability to the winner.

  14. In the event that the winner declines the prize awarded to him or her, or that Limerick City and County Council is unable to contact the winner after reasonable efforts have been made, Limerick City and County Council may award the prize to another entrant, selected at random using an online generator.

  15. All prizes are subject to availability.

  16. Prizes are non-transferable.

  17. A cash alternative will not be awarded in lieu of stated prizes.

  18. Limerick City and County Council reserves the right to cancel/modify/suspend prize(s), and/or vary competition rules at any time without prior notice.

  19. Social distancing measures and all government guidelines surrounding Covid-19 must be adhered to.
     
  20. Prize winners may be asked to take part in publicity (including but not limited to the internet and social media) for advertising and promotional purposes.
     
  21. Employees and councillors of Limerick City and County Council, or any company connected with this promotion, are not eligible to take part in the competition, nor are their immediate family members. For these purposes an "immediate family member" includes a spouse, partner, child, step child, grandchild, brother, step brother, sister, step sister, parent, step parent or legal guardian.

Data Protection

  1. All personal data collected in the running of this competition will be governed by GDPR and other Irish data protection legislation.
     
  2. Data provided by competition entrants will be retained by Limerick City and County Council for a maximum period of one year following competition closing date(s) to deal with any queries that may arise.
     
  3. For the purposes of administration of the competition prize(s), it will be necessary for Limerick City and County Council to share the winning entrant(s) personal data with the relevant competition prize provider.
