Knockainey Village Fair and Festival

Monday 25th June - Sunday 1st July
Knockainey, Hospital, County Limerick

Knockainey Village Fair and Festival runs just after the Lough Gur Summer Fest. These events are planned co-operatively by neighbouring communities who share the same parish.

Events include the Lough Gur Summer Fest at the lake front; Knockainey Village Fair held at the community centre; hurling tournament; concert in St. John's Church; rambling house in the Honey Fitz theatre; card playing; music, song and dance; historical walks; and walks for pleasure.

The official opening of the new schools extension will also be held and past pupils invited back to their home village. A key feature of the festival will be the link with 'Ireland Reaching Out', where the village will host a week of welcomes for those people worldwide whose ancestors are from Knockainey and Lough Gur.

The Diaspora is invited to attend and experience the richness of the community life.
