Limerick's St. Patrick's Festival will include the giant St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday 17th March and on the following day the 42nd International Band Championship will take place.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17th looks set to once again be the largest parade in the country outside of Dublin with a huge number of colourful entries as well as hundreds of musicians, dancers and entertainers.

70,000 spectators thronged the streets of Limerick last year for the St Patrick’s Day parade and the 2013 festival promises to be ever bigger!

On Monday March 18^th, the Limerick International Band Championship will celebrate its 43rd anniversary and over 800 musicians will converge in Limerick for the party!

Marching bands from around Ireland, the USA, Europe and Northern Ireland will join Limerick’s finest to showcase their talents with adrenalin pumping music for all the family to enjoy. The Band Parade will start in O’Connell Avenue and end at City Hall, Merhcant's Quay, with a free concert to the public.
