The biggest May Bank Holiday weekend festival, Limerick’s 10th annual Riverfest, wound down today with organisers expressing their delight as the four-day programme surpassed all expectations.

Limerick will become a mecca for foodies, fun seekers and fun runners this May Bank Holiday weekend as the city's biggest festival RIVERFEST launched its programme of events today.
The rapid growth of the Great Limerick Run has been reflected by the announcement that it has secured a title sponsor, Barringtons Hospital, at the launch of this year’s event, which will be held on May 5th next.
As the Riverfest is coming to town, Limerick will be busy spot this May Bank Holiday weekend and what better way to enjoy the weekend than a trip to the races at Greenmount Park.
Limerick will host a round of the Irish National Powerboat Championships as well as a spectacular party on the banks of the River Shannon over the May Bank Holiday weekend for Riverfest 2012.

On Saturday 5th May 2012, Foynes Yacht Club flotilla will visit Steamboat Quay to join the Riverfest celebrations, which will be underway in the treaty city.
