The Festival of Maigue Poets and Music is a bilingual festival of music, arts and history featuring the music of Sean O' Riada who lived in Adare for a while.

The O' Riada Choir Cor Cul Aodha and Micheal O'Suilleabhain of Irish World Academy of Music and Dance will both perform.

Workshops based on the poetry and prose of local Maigue poets Sean O'Tuama, Aindreas Mac Crait and Gerald Griffin will be held.

There will be plenty of pub music sessions, a large concert, ceili, storytelling and other cultural events for kids and market stalls selling local produce.

Historical events will include talks on the Tudor connection to Adare and th eFitzgerald Family of Desmond Castle. So come along and enjoy!
