Tommy Tiernan World Tour of Limerick

Friday 9th March 2012
Devon Inn Hotel, Templeglantine, Co Limerick

Pray to whatever higher being you believe in that this stand-up preacher never loses his childish, crazy ways. ***** The Scotsman

“Brilliant & life-affirming – Tommy Tiernan actually makes you proud to be Irish.” -The Irish Independent

“He has the vocabulary of a poet, the soul of a maverick & the passion of an evangelist.” - Chortle

Tommy is delighted to be doing his second world tour of Limerick.  From Southill to Kilmallock, and Thomond Park to Templeglantine. It is a city and county that he really enjoys.  Steeped in tradition and divilment . Any place that produces both Sean O’Riada and The Rubberbandits has to be worth a look.  Other stops will include The Strand Hotel, Dolan’s and Adare.

Tommy’s mastery of stand-up allows him to take risks other comedians dare not. Through hilarious storytelling and a high energy, non- apologetic delivery he continually challenges his audience who can be confident they are in safe hands. To see Tiernan live is a rare treat, as his stories unfold and themes are elaborated his performance mesmerises as his lyrical way with words make you laugh harder than you’d ever believe possible.

Tommy  Tiernan’s brand new DVD “Crooked Man” has been receiving rave reviews from the critics see below some of the highlights:

If there's a more beautiful stand-up DVD out there, we've yet to see it. . It's also refreshing to see a comic put some love into their live DVD, rather than simply churning out another Christmas cash-in. It's beautifully shot and the Irish comic is on spectacularly funny form." – Time Out London

The best of this bunch is Storyteller Tommy Tiernan’s Crooked Man, There’s unlikely to be a more compelling stand-up out there today, with this show giving us all the sides of Tiernan from the hushed conspirator to the firebrand preacher, riffing on childhood, family and a little bit of politics. Pure genius, so it Is - (●●●●●) The List

The DVD feels wonderfully intimate, capturing the mischievous atmosphere the Navan native effortlessly conjures as he muses on marriage religion and turning 40, judging by Crooked Man, growing old disgracefully suits Tiernan Perfectly – Hot Press
