'On the Nail' Literary Reading

This month our guests are David Toms and James Cummins.
David Toms, is a 23 year old student in UCC. and has been writing poetry for about five years. His first full collection called "Soma|Sema" is being published by Knives, Forks and Spoons Press (shortlisted for the British Library's Michael Marks' Publishers Award 2011) later this year.
His work has appeared in a wide variety of magazines and journals in print and online, and this collection follows the publication of two chapbooks:
For the Misanthropic Muse (Default, 2009) and Tom O'Bedlam Sings His Song (Knives, Forks and Spoons 2010). he has read his work at events in Dublin, Cork and Waterford.
James Cummins is currently undertaking a PhD in the School of English,UCC. He currently co-runs Run Amok Press with Sarah Hayden, Niamh O'Mahony and Rachel Warriner.
He is also a key organiser of the annual Soundeye festival in Cork city. His poetry has appeared in a wide variety of magazines and several chapbooks and pamphlets of his work have been published.
Everyone is invited to take part in the open-mic after the main event, poets, storytellers, musicians and writers . Even if you don't write you are welcome to bring something along to read. The night begins at 8.00pm and admission is free.
So join us on the night and make this event something special.
