Limerick City of Culture 2014 logo unveiled

Limerick, set to become Ireland’s first National City of Culture in 2014, unveiled its new logo for the year’s celebrations at a spectacular fireworks display on the banks of the River Shannon this evening.

The Gathering 2013 is a year long effort to bring more tourism and business to Ireland through celebrating and promoting cultural festivals and events. A number of local events will take place in Limerick City and County throughout 2013 to celebrate The Gathering.
