Childcare
Childcare Committees were set up in 2000 to co-ordinate childcare services, to increase childcare places and to improve the quality of childcare in the area.
Limerick City Childcare Commitee and Limerick County Childcare Commitee have established childcare networks for parents, childcare providers and childminders in Limerick. The networks are facilitated by the staff of the childcare committees and provide an opportunity for participants to share information, and to avail of advice and support.
The networks provide: Information sharing and support, discussion on current childcare issues, training workshops.
