Mark Whelan is a poet living and working in Limerick. He has been published 2 collections of poetry, Scarecrow Diptych, illustrated by Limerick artist John Shinnors and Always Pushing The Pulling Door, illustrated by Tom Delohery.

His work has been translated into French and Spanish. He has read his work at international festivals in Spain, Slovenia and England.

A new publication of work Brighton Suite, will be published by Pighog Press as part of this years festival.

In 2012 Doghouse will publish a further collection Sean of Wounds.
