Limerick, 2014 National City of Culture, has a rich tradition of literature, culture, arts and music and home to cultural institutions such as the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Lyric FM and two major performance arts centres, University Concert Hall and The Lime Tree Theatre.

It offers festivals, theatre, outdoor markets and wonderful sporting facilities, its love of rugby is world renowned, and the city is very proud of Thomond Park, home of the Munster Rugby team.

Those living in Limerick have an excellent quality of life and many who live in the surrounding areas commute the short distance to Limerick city to work.
