Skilled Workforce

Limerick offers a well educated skilled workforce with both the University of Limerick and Limerick Institute of Technology churning out world class graduates in every discipline from information technology and engineering to business and history. 

Several other 3rd level institutes offer courses in Limerick such as Mary Immaculate teacher-training College; Limerick Business School and Limerick College of Further Education.

The population of Limerick is also increasing; between 2002 and 2006 the population grew by 5.7% to 184,000 citizens. Between 1997 and the third quarter of 2007 employment in the Mid-West expanded by 38.6% and labour force participation in the Region is 61.9%.
